Reputation is a system of rewarding those members who have been especially helpful. You can read more about it in the Forum FAQ (see link in the red navigation bar). Each member has the ability to hide their reputation if they choose.

All members have the ability to give reputation points to other members. Only Moderators and Administrators have the ability to give negative reputation points.
