These 4th of July treat bag toppers are a fun, simple gift to put together for your students, kids, friends, or for a party. If you’re in school during the summer or running a summer camp, this would be an inexpensive gift for the kids in your group.
Treat bag topper gifts are quick to make. All you have to do is print the topper, cut, and attach to a zip bag of treats.
For the candy 4th of July treat bag, I used red, white, and blue M&M’s. I didn’t have to pick out the colors, this was a holiday bag that had just those 3 colors. You could use any kind of snack or candy. Also, if you want to give out less candy, you can mix the M&M’s in with some pretzels or Goldfish crackers.
I also made these treat bags with dollar spot sunglasses. (These are from Target’s Dollar Spot, 2015.)
Here are some other treat bag alternatives:
- cookies
- brownies
- crackers
- stickers
- pony bead bracelet
- granola bar
- crayons
- colored pens
To attach the bag topper to the bag, fold the paper on the line and either staple or tape them to the top of a snack size ziplock bag. You can also use sandwich size bags for something larger.
