Sometimes teachers and/or schools don’t have the funds to buy the classroom furniture they need or want. Compiling this list of furniture plans for the classroom was fun, and I’m drooling over them all. DIY furniture will cut costs to a fraction of what you would pay if you bought from an educational supply catalog.
Even if you don’t have the tools, equipment, or skill to build these yourself, you could always look for a volunteer parent or volunteer community member who might be willing to build something for you. Boy Scouts have at times made things for classrooms.
