The Penguin Alphabet Game
The Penguin Alphabet Game is a hands-on activity that combines adorable penguins with the essential skill of learning the alphabet. This game is tailored for Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten children, offering a playful approach to letter recognition. Each card features four letters, and the goal is for children to figure out which two letters that are the same.
How to Play the Penguin Alphabet Game
Place the cards in a stack or container. Children will take a card and look at the four letters to find which two letters match. For example, if a card has the letters “A B C A”, they will determine that the letter A’s are the same. Children will continue with the rest of the cards. For self-checking, you can write the answer on the back of the card if you choose.
Optional Recording Sheet: A recording sheet is included to use if you choose. When children draw a card and find the two letters that match, they can mark that letter on the recording sheet, and continue until they have found all of the letters. There are two recording sheets with letters A-Z: one with uppercase letters and one with lowercase letters.
Uppercase and Lowercase Letters
This Penguin Alphabet Game includes both uppercase and lowercase letters. You can use the two sets for differentiation: Use one set or both sets with your students, depending on their level. Some children may find it easier to recognize uppercase letters.

The Penguin Alphabet Game is quick and easy to prepare. All you need to do is print out the cards and cut the 4 cards per page. These are easy, straight-line cuts. These cards are ink saving, with black line clipart, so you will only use black ink. They can easily be printed on a copy machine. If you want to add color, just print on light blue paper.
